DC Power Technicians/Installers Level 3 & 4

Elite Technologies & Communications is a 22 year old stable growth company that has several locations across the Eastern US to support our customers telecommunications facility installations and servicing.

Elite Tech specializes in advanced network communications including central office engineering, central office installation, DC power, transport, access and switching.

*Minimum 4 years of current experience in conducting similar like type work in a ISP DC Power and/or Electrical industry environment required.

Position Overview/Qualifications:
The position of DC Power Field Technician is responsible for, and is competent at performing solo, the following tasks:
  • Battery (telecom) installations and servicing
  • Installation of rectifiers and power distribution equipment
  • Power cable installation, lug crimping, lacing and all other duties associated with the installation and maintenance of DC power
  • Grounding
  • Alarm wiring
  • DC power hot slides
  • Interpret and/or write scope of work & MOP's
  • Installation of ironwork and cable rack

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record - required
  • Must pass DOT physical, pre-hire drug screen, and background check
  • Verifiable work references are required
  • Associates or Technical degree from college, or high school degree /GED and military training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Has comprehensive knowledge of DC Power and its applications (minimum of 3-4 years experience in ISP)
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Frequent travel required

Pay:
$52,000 - $64,000 approx. annually (pay commensurate with experience) and $100 per day Per Diem (where applicable/conditions apply).
